Yerevan /Mediamax/. President of Artsakh National Assembly Artur Tovmasyan has stated that "Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev’s plan has failed.”

“Ilham Aliyev is no longer in power, because the military and political leadership of his country responds to any call of OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs with a demand that Turkey should participate in the negotiations. The world already knows that Azerbaijan is being controlled by Turkey in this war,” Tovmasyan said.

“The military and political leadership of Azerbaijan started the war. The military and political authorities Turkey are leading the attack. Our neighboring world powers can see already that this is not just about Artsakh and the Turkish president wants to get involved in the Caucasus. I think the world powers are concerned about their interests at this point, and there will be tough reactions soon,” he added.

According to Tovmasyan, the Defense Army of Artsakh fights with a strategy and aims to “have as few casualties as possible in every operation.”

“We will not beg. We will not ask for ceasefire. Only we, the people of Artsakh, have the right to decide our fate, with Armenia and the Armenian Diaspora standing behind us,” stated Artur Tovmasyan.
