Yerevan, June 15. /Mediamax/. Head of “Sasun” self-defensive detachment, activist of ANC Sasun Mikaelyan stated that he does not see opportunity for compromise as to the issue of Karabakh conflict settlement.

Mediamax reports that during today’s news conference he said that “if the liberated territories are surrendered, Karabakh will not gain a status”, and this is why he sees not prospects for compromise.

According to Sasun Mikaelyan, “authorities today have very weak positions in the negotiation process”.

“If we want to avoid a war, it will be better to try to settle the internal political situation”, he said, adding that during the years of war, unity of the people played a key role.

According to the assessment of Sasun Mikaelyan, resumption of hostilities is not ruled out. At the same time he said that “one should not get disappointed or be scared of a war”.
