Yerevan /Mediamax/. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev stated that in fall 2020 Azerbaijan observed all the rules of conducting military actions and was not fighting against the civilians.

“We fought with dignity, observed all the rules of war, we did not fought with civilians, we did not bombard the buildings, we did not commit such atrocities despite the fact that the thirst for revenge has always lived in the hearts of our people. After all, the Armenians committed genocide against our people, pursued a policy of ethnic cleansing against us, so the sense of revenge is justified. But I said that we will get even with the enemy on the battlefield,” Aliyev said today during the meeting with the athletes.

The Azerbaijani president noted that during the war less than 30 casualties were recorded among the Armenian civilian population. “And that’s because these civilians participated in the fighting,” he added.
