Yerevan/Mediamax/. Head of the Armenian delegation to Euronest Parliamentary Assembly, Vahan Hovhannisyan, said today that “the Armenian delegation succeeded in Baku and acted as one team.”

Mediamax recalls that the Armenian parliamentary delegation comprised of 9 deputies left for Baku on April 1 to take part in the second plenary session of Euronest.

Today, Vahan Hovhannisyan gave a positive assessment to Baku session, saying that the participation of the Armenian delegation in the session has fully justified itself.

“The Armenian delegation was very active during the session and managed to promote points related to the strengthening democracy and human rights as well as social development, which are very important for us,” said Vahan Hovhannisyan.

Speaking about the reception of the Armenian delegation, he said security measures and the reception were at an appropriate level.

“There were no manifestations of hatred or aggression against us. I think there is only one man in that country who gets political dividends speaking about the resumption of the war,” said Vahan Hovhannisyan.

Talking about the speech of Azeri President Ilham Aliyev at the session, Vahan Hovhannisyan said that by his speech the Azeri leader delivered a big blow to his country’s political image.
