Yerevan /Mediamax/. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan today has held a meeting that considered the issues in Syunik region.
“Due to the developments we all know, the border environment has changed significantly in Syunik, and we need to discuss the measures conducted to ensure the security of Armenia in Syunik. I have said frequently that I consider Syunik the spine of our statehood, and we must do everything possible to ensure Armenia’s security in Syunik,” remarked Pashinyan.
He has heard reports on settlement of issues pertaining to the security of border villages and roads, location of border checkpoints, compensation of possible damages suffered by the population, and related matters.
Nikol Pashinyan has instructed relevant bodies to carry on the efforts in the framework of the interdepartmental working group.
