Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian MFA Spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan has responded to Azerbaijani President’s threats to use force against Armenia.
“We strongly condemn aspirations of President of Azerbaijan to use force against territorial integrity of Armenia. Such statements seriously undermine regional peace and stability and reveal false nature of Azerbaijan’s recent statements on peace and reconciliation.
It should be noted that Baku is making these threats on the eve of the anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, aiming to speak to the Armenian people from a position of strength.
We are in constant contact with our strategic ally and all our partners invested in peace in the South Caucasus. Armenia will take all necessary measures to protect its sovereignty and territorial integrity,” said Anna Naghdalyan.
In particular, on April 20 Aliyev said that “we will implement the Zangezur corridor project, whether Armenia wants it or not.”
If Armenia wants, we will solve this issue more clearly, if not, we will do it by force,” he said.
