Yerevan /Mediamax/. Five Azerbaijani citizens have requested asylum in Armenia on January 29, reliable sources told Mediamax.
“An Azerbaijani family of five members – the father, mother and three under-age children – requested asylum in Armenia on January 29”, the source claims.

According to the legislation of the Republic of Armenia, foreign citizens entering the Republic of Armenia should submit an application for the right of political alsylum to the State Migration Service of the Ministry of Territorial Administration. After receiving the conclusions of the competent state organs concerning the applicant, the State Migration Service makes a proposal based on the applicant’s claim and all related documents within a month and presents them to the Armenian President.
