Yerevan /Mediamax/. Foundation studying Armenian architecture presented "Records of Aleppo” book today.
Member of the foundation, the author of the idea of the book Raffi Kortoshyan said that the book features photos of gravestones of the Armenian graveyard in Aleppo and the records on them.
Besides, the book depicts the history of local Armenian churches and information on the Armenians living there.
President of the foundation studying Armenian architecture Samvel Karapetyan added that the inscriptions on the gravestones of the Armenian graveyards in Aleppo indicate that the local Armenians migrated from the Western Armenia to escape persecutions.
"The gravestones may serve as a dictionary of Western Armenian toponyms and they are direct evidences of the Armenian Genocide", said Samvel Karapetyan.
"Records of Aleppo" book was published in 700 copies, it is available in Yerevan bookstores.
