Yerevan/Mediamax/. 73 foreign citizens turned to the State Migration Service for getting refuges in Armenia in 2011 and 48 of the requests were met.
During the working meeting chaired by the Vice Prime Minister, Minister of Territorial Administration Armen Gevorgyan, head of the Service Gagik Yeganyan said that 7 requests were turned down, 5 – suspended, 6 – cancelled and 8 more are being discussed.
419 refugees have got Armenian citizenship over 2011. After the adoption of the law on Republic of Armenia “On Refugees”, the total number of refugees to have got Armenian citizenship exceeds 86 thousand people.
