Yerevan/Mediamax/. The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin has held a discussion on the Istanbul Convention, which was attended by prelate leaders, bishops employed at the Mother See, monks and priests.
In the beginning of the meeting, Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II addressed the attendees, attaching importance to the discussions about the concerns that the Istanbul Convention had caused among the public and the clergy.
The Mother See also informed that members of the Legal-Advisory Committee of Mother See Gevorg Danielyan and Ara Zohrabyan read reports about the controversial points in the document, which were widely discussed in the society recently.
The Mother See plans to hold more discussions of the convention in the near future.
