Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated today that the field works of the Armenian section of Yeraskh-Sadarak-Joulfa-Ordubad-Meghri-Horadiz railway kick off in Meghri region.

“This is a very important event and I want to voice hope that we will de jure fix the agreements reached during 2021 trilateral meetings in Sochi and Brussels,” he said at the cabinet meeting.

Mediamax notes that it is already the third time when the head of the government “expresses hope” that the agreements will be fixed in a document.

Nikol Pashinyan said that the Armenian side views the construction of the railway within the framework of the Armenian Junction project. He noted that currently works are underway on the construction of possible routes, including new highways.
