Yerevan /Mediamax/. Azerbaijan’s President Ilham Aliyev urged today Armenia to renounce the “attempts of revenge” and promised to severely halt any provocations by the Armenian side.

“I address to those in Armenia who are living with the feelings of revenge – think about you. The iron first is here, it has not gone anywhere. Don’t irritate us, behave well. If you behave well, you will live in peace. In case of any new provocation, statement or action against us we will break your head not looking at anyone. No one will defend you,” Aliyev stated at the ceremony of raising Azerbaijan’s flag in Mataghis which the Azerbaijani side renamed into Sugovusan.

According to Interfax-Azerbaijan, Aliyev stated:

“The liberation of Sugovusan was of big strategic significance. The location of this settlement played a significant role during the war and the fact that it was under our control gave us an advantage in the future operations.”--
