Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken to his Turkish counterpart Recep Erdogan on the phone today, informing him about the main results of the trilateral meeting of Russian, Azerbaijani and Armenian leaders, which took place in Moscow on January 11.

“President Putin has emphasized that one of the main results of the negotiations is the confirmation by Azerbaijan and Armenia of the intention to normalize relations and the readiness for practical cooperation in establishing a peaceful life and unblocking economic and transport ties. Taking into account the overall stabilization of the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh, the sides were able to agree on a number of important steps towards those goals.

Turkish President has expressed his support for Russia’s efforts and spoken in favor of continuous coordination of Russian and Turkish actions, also in terms of economic development of the region and promotion of mutually beneficial projects,” the Kremlin’s press service said in a statement.
