Yerevan /Mediamax/. “We have witnessed Turkey’s destabilizing role in the Eastern Mediterranean, North Africa, the Middle East, and now we are witnessing that destabilization being exported to the South Caucasus, as evidenced by Turkey’s open military-political support for Azerbaijan’s large-scale aggression,” Armenian Foreign Minister Zohrab Mnatsakanyan said at the webinar organized by the Atlantic Council.

He briefed the participants of the webinar on the situation created in Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone since September 27.

“At the heart of the issue is the physical, existential security of our compatriots, and we have made it very clear that we are dealing with a real existential threat that we have witnessed in the past, and we must not allow it to happen again,” said the Foreign Minister.

Speaking about the October 10 and 17 statements on ceasefire with the direct involvement of Russian and French leaders, Zohrab Mnatsakanyan highlighted Armenia’s commitment to obligations made under those agreements.

The Armenian Foreign Minister also spoke about his meetings in USA, noting that the messages received from the United States are reassuring and aim at the immediate implementation of ceasefire efforts.
