Yerevan/Mediamax/. Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili is going to attend the inauguration of his Armenian counterpart Serzh Sargsyan due in Yerevan on April 9.
The Georgian President said this during an interview on "Imedi" TV company.
Mikhail Saakashvili again spoke against the resumption of the Abkhazian section of the Georgian railway. "The opening of the railway will strike Georgian and Azerbaijani interests so much that it shouldn't be even talked about and moreover - to build plans about it", said the Georgian President.
At the same time, according to him, Georgia wants to have good relations with Armenia.
"To diversify transport roots, we opened the highway through Lars for Armenia and worked over the construction of the new port of Lazika which would increase the transportation 3-fold, for Armenia including", said Saakashvili.
He also stated that being Ilham Aliyev's heading Azerbaijan is "the guarantee of long-term development of Georgia".
The Georgian President stressed that Azerbaijan supplies gas to Georgia at a 3-fold less price than the European one. "It's of vital importance to Georgia and the possible change of Azerbaijan's course will be a catastrophe", noted Saakashvili.
"Azerbaijan confidently builds its statehood and firmly stands on its feet and the more Ilham Aliyev rules the country, the more confident Georgia will feel", said Mikhail Saakashvili. --0--
