Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated at the cabinet sitting today that the elections of the president of Armenia will take place in March.

He said 65 deputies of the National Assembly have nominated Vahagn Khachaturyan, Minister of High-Tech Industry, for the post, which he said “gives some confidence that he will be elected to the post.”

Nikol Pashinyan noted that the other members of the Civil Contract faction did not sign the nomination document due to technical-legal reasons.

“The faction is united in this issue and it gives confidence that the presidential election will take place at least in the second round. I hope that before the election Vahagn Khachaturyan will fully implement his duties as a minister, and during this time we will continue to work effectively in the government,” said Nikol Pashinyan.
