Yerevan /Mediamax/. Former Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan has expressed hope that "the Prime Minister will find the courage to make a decision to leave for the sake of our country’s future.”

We present Karapetyan’s statement below.

“The Republics of Armenia and Artsakh are in a deep crisis - moral, psychological, political, economic, social, and in terms of values as well. It is difficult to imagine a deeper crisis: how much worse could things be?

I think that the by remaining in power, the government, under whose rule and because of whom this crisis has arisen, will severely limit the country’s development opportunities and the possibility of using the nation’s potential and capabilities. Taking into account, on the one hand, the consistent and aggressive policy of Azerbaijan aimed at consolidating its success, and on the other hand, the challenges facing Armenia, the continuation of this crisis every day is detrimental to us and only us.

This fateful moment is the most important test for the government to show if it is able to rise above narrow political interests and show high consciousness, granting peace to the country, enabling political forces to rethink their past and shape the vision of the future, and allowing the people to form peacefully a new government.”
