Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russian President Vladimir Putin stated today that positions of Moscow and Ankara in the South Caucasus do not coincide.

Addressing the session of “Valdai” Club today, Vladimir Putin said:

“Our positions on the situation in the South Caucasus don’t coincide, because we believe that, after all, controversial issues of this kind should be resolved not by force, not with the help of weapons, but at the negotiating table, Yes, of course, we can say that negotiations have been going on for 30 years with no result. This, I think, doesn’t mean guns must be fired.”

“We must persistently work with everyone, be patient, which we are doing, and prove to everyone that our position is correct, and we will defend it. And where our positions and our approaches do not coincide, a compromise must be sought,” Putin added.
