Yerevan /Mediamax/. President of Armenia Armen Sarkissian has stated that “it is unclear where we are headed in terms of Artsakh’s status.”
“It is unclear where we are headed in terms of Artsakh’s status, when the negotiations will begin and how they will go. How will future relations form on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan?” President Sarkissian said at the meeting with Armenian Diaspora representatives in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan.
“If an Azerbaijani soldier intrudes into Armenia even for 500 meters, let alone several kilometers, it is a big alarm for all of us. The matter of our soldiers still held captive in Azerbaijan is a huge issue. Armenia returned Azerbaijani POWs, but Azerbaijan is keeping Armenian POWs and using them as leverage. This is completely unacceptable. There are families in Armenia, whose sons, husbands, fathers are missing. This is a horror, because you do not know if your loved ones are alive. Every day they stand between heaven and hell,” said Armen Sarkissian.
