Yerevan /Mediamax/. Presidents of Russia and France, Vladimir Putin and Emmanuel Macron, discussed the situation in Nagorno Karabakh in a telephone conversation today.
“The parties expressed serious concern over the ongoing large-scale clashes in the contact zone and the increasing involvement of extremists from Syria and Libya. Vladimir Putin informed Emmanuel Macron in detail of the steps taken by Russia towards reaching ceasefire and the resumption of negotiations to ensure a political and diplomatic solution. The presidents also expressed desire to continue coordinated mediation efforts of Russia and France, including through the OSCE Minsk Group,” the press service of Kremlin said.
