Yerevan /Mediamax/. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and his Turkish counterpart Mevlut Cavusoglu had a telephone conversation today and discussed the situation in Nagorno Karabakh.

“The situation over Nagorno Karabakh was discussed. The need to ensure immediate stable ceasefire between Armenia and Azerbaijan was emphasized,” the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

“The ministers pointed out that there is no alternative to the peaceful settlement of the problem, highlighting the need to immediately establish a ceasefire regime and resume the negotiation process within the framework of the established mechanisms of the OSCE Minsk Group. The inadmissibility of the internationalization of the crisis due to the involvement of foreign militants was especially emphasized,” the Russian Foreign Ministry reports.
