Yerevan /Mediamax/. The Azerbaijani side is deliberately accumulating forces along the Iranian border.

As the representative of the Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan said today, the enemy, not having sufficient capabilities for conducting effective offensive operations, began to resort to obvious provocations.

“In particular, in the southern direction, the Azerbaijani units are accumulating large groups directly along the Artsakh-Iranian border (along the Araks River).

This way, they are trying to provoke Artsakh to open fire along the border in the direction of Iran. We don’t rule out the possibility that as a result of hostilities, Azerbaijani units, having no alternative, may retreat or fleet to the to the territory of Iran.

To avoid this, we think that the Iranian side, which certainly sees all this, must prevent or force Azeris to refrain from such accumulations,” Artsrun Hovhannisyan said.
