Yerevan/Mediamax/. General Director of the Caspian Cooperation Institute Sergey Mikheyev said that "the main and only reason that Karabakh conflict is not solved is the absolute discrepancy of the sides’ stances”.
Mediamax reports that at today’s Yerevan-Moscow TV Bridge following the results of Kazan meeting he said that the efforts of the mediators crash against the irreconcilability of the conflicting sides’ stances.
“Third forces can make use of this situation, including the USA, which has serious geopolitical interests in the given region”, expert said.
In his turn, scientist of RAS Oriental Studies Institute’s Center for Central Asia, the Caucasus and Ural-Volga Region Studies Andrey Areshyev said that there is no common philosophy of Karabakh conflict settlement.
“Karabakh conflict should be solved by a particular model, just like in case with Abkhazia, Ossetia, Kosovo and Southern Sudan, or should not be solved, like in case with Palestine or North Cyprus”, Andrey Areshyev said.
