Yerevan /Mediamax/. Visa Department of British Embassy in Armenia won't operate from now on.

Communications Manager of British Embassy in Armenia Lilit Kalantaryan told Mediamax about it.

To get a UK visa, Armenian citizens should apply to a private company which the Embassy delegated the function of visa documentation to from April 2014.

"From April 2014, our new commercial partner, Teleperformance Company, will manage the visa documentation for United Kingdom in the region from April 2014. So, to get a UK visa, Armenian citizens should submit their documents not to the Embassy but Yerevan office of the company from now on", said the Embassy representative.

Lilit Kalantaryan explained that Teleperformance is a private company which is an agent "between citizens and UK Visa Department". All the applications will still be accepted by the Visa and Immigration Staff of United Kingdom as it's currently carried out.

It should be noted that this novelty will be introduced in Azerbaijan and Georgia as well. According to the change, one should pay 59pounds in addition to visa fee to use visa services in the region from April 2014.

"The sum will be charged as a visa service fee and the payment should be made with the visa fee payment upon the moment of getting visa application day and hour", said Lilit Kalantaryan.
