Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian MFA Spokeswoman Anna Naghdalyan has stated today that “the President of Azerbaijan continues to make contradictory, mutually exclusive statements.”

She has made this comment on Ilham Aliyev’s remarks to Armenpress that Armenia has been offered to sign a peace agreement but the official Yerevan has given no response yet.

Anna Naghdalyan has stated that no meeting has been scheduled between representatives of Armenia and Azerbaijan.

“Moreover, the anti-Armenian stance and behavior of the Azerbaijani leadership, to put it mildly, do not create grounds for expecting a constructive approach from the Azerbaijani authorities in the search of solutions to the situation caused by the Azerbaijani aggression against Artsakh,” she said.

“The President of Azerbaijan continues to make contradictory, mutually exclusive statements. On one hand, he feeds the domestic audience with the thesis that the conflict has been resolved, and on the other, he speaks to the international audience about a peace agreement and the unresolved issues of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. Signing a peace agreement requires, first of all, a peace process, which was actually disrupted by the use of force by Azerbaijan,” concluded Anna Naghdalyan.
