Yerevan /Mediamax/. Foreign Minister of Armenia Ara Ayvazyan today has received ambassadors of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chair states: Russian Ambassador Sergey Kopyrkin, French Ambassador Jonathan Lacote, and U.S. Ambassador Lynne Tracy.

The meeting agenda focused on the post-war situation in Nagorno-Karabakh, regional security and peace, said the Armenian MFA.

“The parties have underlined the need for restoration of the peace process in the framework of the Minsk Group. Ara Ayvazyan has highlighted the importance of full implementation of the fundamental principles of the conflict settlement, in this context stressing the right of Artsakh people’s to self-determination and safety.

Presenting the process of implementation of the November 9 statement on ceasefire and deployment of peacekeepers to Artsakh, Ara Ayvazyan has underlined that the priority is full and unhindered completion of humanitarian tasks, including the return of POWs, hostages and other captive persons.

The Armenian Foreign Minister has noted to the ambassadors that protection of Artsakh’s Armenian historical, cultural and religious heritage in the territories captured by Azerbaijan is an urgent matter, given that Azerbaijan is taking steps toward destruction or mislabeling of Armenian historical, cultural and religious heritage,” the Armenian MFA said in a press statement.
