Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenia’s representative to the ECHR Yeghishe Kirakosyan has stated today that the biggest value of the ECHR’s decision to apply an interim measure against Turkey is that it was made on the basis of the evidence presented by the Armenian side.
“The court has registered Turkey’s involvement as a fact,” Yeghishe Kirakosyan said, emphasizing that the existence of the ECHR decision is already a big step.
According to him, “it will be possible to talk about the court decision when Armenia files a major complaint.”
“We have not yet filed a major complaint against either Azerbaijan or Turkey,” clarified Kirakosyan.
On October 6, ECHR made the decision urging all countries directly or indirectly involved in Karabakh conflict, including Turkey, to refrain from violating the rights of the civil population, indicated in the Convention.
