Yerevan /Mediamax/. The European Court for Human Rights (ECHR) fulfilled the request of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and applied interim measure, representative of Armenia in the ECHR said.
“The Court reaffirms the decision of September 29 to apply interim measure and calls on all countries directly or indirectly involved, including Turkey, to refrain from violating the rights of the civilian population protected by the Convention,” the ruling reads.
On 29 September 2020, the European Court of Human Rights decided to apply the interim measure and called upon both Azerbaijan and Armenia to refrain from taking any measures, in particular military action, which might entail breaches of the Convention rights of the civilian population.
