Yerevan /Mediamax/. The Kremlin is convinced that any statements about possible military support for Azerbaijan or Armenia are only "adding fuel to the flame.”

TASS reports that Russian President’s Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov has made that statement.

“For the Kremlin, the priority is the immediate ceasefire and halt of the military actions. Any statements about possible military support for Azerbaijan and Armenia are only adding fuel to the flame. We are categorically against it. We urge all countries, especially our partners such as Turkey, to do everything to persuade the warring parties to cease fire and commit to peaceful settlement,” said Peskov.

He has underlined that Russia is “in touch constantly with Yerevan, Baku and Ankara at various levels.”

“We collect all information about the situation on the line of contact, follow up on all the news, analyze the situation and use the knowledge to form our future position and determine our next steps together with partners in OSCE Minsk Group,” added Peskov.

Dmitry Peskov has stated that Russia and other co-chairs of OSCE Minsk Group should maintain a responsible stance without adventurism for settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
