Yerevan /Mediamax/. Late in the evening of August 12, the Kremlin’s press service released a statement about the phone conversation between Vladimir Putin and Ilham Aliyev, which took place at the initiative of the Azerbaijani side.
The statement reads:
“The two leaders have discussed relevant issues on the bilateral agenda. They have affirmed mutual intent to further strengthen Russian-Azerbaijani partnership in all areas.
Ilham Aliyev has congratulated Vladimir Putin as the Russian coronavirus vaccine has been registered.
The parties have exchanged views on regional issues in the context of the escalation of the situation on Azerbaijan-Armenia state border this July. The Russian side has stressed the importance of unacceptability of any actions that lead to escalation.”
