Yerevan/Mediamax/. Secretary of Board of “Heritage” party Karine Hakobyan stated her leaving the party today.
Karine Hakobyan called the joint list of “Heritage” and “Free Democrats” published on March 18 “illogical” and “unfair”, Mediamax reports.
Answering Mediamax’s question, she explained that her decision to leave the election campaign had been made long before the publication of the list and today she stated her leaving the party.
Karine Hakobyan was mostly unhappy about the “unknown surnames” included in the list. She thinks the final variant of the list reduced “Heritage’s” chances to be represented in the parliament of the new convocation.
She also added that the final decision on forming the list was made by “Heritage” leader Raffi Hovhannisyan and his “closest milieu”.
Karine Hakobyan noted that the election list was a surprise not only to her but also to other representatives of the party. In particular, she recalled Larisa Alaverdyan who according to Hakobyan at first stated her leaving the pre-election campaign but then decided to “to symbolically support” “Heritage”.
