Yerevan/Mediamax/. The State Commission for the Protection of Economic Competition of Armenia (SCPEC) issued a statement on recent frequent publications about complaints of Ukrainian producers of alcoholic production against Armenian "Alex Grig" company, which produces vodka resembling Ukrainian titles and similar packaging.
In reply to statements about the inaction of the Commission regarding this case, the SCPEC recalled that 7 administrative proceedings were instituted against “Alex Grig” in 2010 and a fine in the amount of AMD 0,5mln was imposed on the company 7 times. It was also required to stop the manufacture and sales of production the names of which are similar to trademarks of foreign producers.
Nevertheless, SCPEC reported that the company is currently disputing all 7 decisions in the court.
