Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenia’s Permanent Representative to the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) Viktor Biyagov today has stated that the provocation Azerbaijan has carried out in Syunik marz is a direct encroachment on the sovereign territory of CSTO member Armenia and a serious threat to regional security and stability.
Speaking at the CSTO Permanent Council meeting, Biyagov has presented in detail the provocative actions of the Azerbaijani side in Syunik and the situation that has formed as a result. The purpose of his report was to convey information about the situation to the capitals of the CSTO member states.
Permanent Representative Biyagov has stressed that if the Azerbaijani troops do not withdraw from Armenia as soon as possible and within a reasonable time, Azerbaijan will bear the full responsibility for the further escalation of the situation.
