Yerevan /Mediamax/. Today Armenian Defense Minister David Tonoyan has responded to his Azerbaijani counterpart, who said that "the combat zone will expand because of Armenia’s actions.”

“The settlements in Armenia’s Vardenis region were shelled with heavy artillery and unmanned aerial vehicles. If he does not consider that an expansion of the combat zone, let experts make conclusions,” Tonoyan said.

He has stressed that Armenia has not yet carried out long-range shelling or missiles strikes on Azerbaijan.

“Since Stepanakert, Martuni, Hadrut, Martakert and other settlements are acceptable arenas of hostilities for Azerbaijan’s armed forces or military and political leadership, the professional and highly skilled units of the Defense Army of Artsakh react with a tough response, which will have terrible consequences for Azerbaijan,” added Davit Tonoyan.
