Yerevan /Mediamax/. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said today that it is very difficult to speak about negotiations, especially their content, when a war is underway.

In an interview with “60 minutes” show on Russian TV, the Prime Minister said that Armenia thinks negotiations should continue within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group.

“First of all, Azerbaijan should accept that there is no military solution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. This war is not new; for a long time, the Azerbaijani leadership has been developing hate rhetoric against Armenians and threatening to resolve the issue by military means, despite international appeals,” Nikol Pashinyan said.

The PM also said that Azerbaijani Armed Forces have failed the task of their military-political leadership and could not achieve any success on the military front.

Nikol Pashinyan again reminded and emphasized his position that any decision must be acceptable for the three parties to the conflict.

“Unfortunately, the President of Azerbaijan wants a solution that will be acceptable only for Azerbaijan, which is impossible. There should be a compromise which requires an appropriate environment. There will be such an environment if Azerbaijan stops the pre-planned aggression, which, no doubt, was planned in detail together with the Turkish Armed Forces during joint military exercises,” Nikol Pashinyan said.
