Yerevan /Mediamax/. The production of AK-103 (Kalashnikov) rifles has started operating in Armenia.

The factory was founded under the cooperation agreement between “Neutron GAM” CJSC and Russian Kalashnikov Concern.

This June Maria Vorobyova, Spokeswoman of the Russian Federal Service of Military-Technical Cooperation, stated that the Armenian factory could produce up to 50,000 Kalashnikov rifles a year.

The rifles will be supplied to the Armenian Armed Forces soon. The rifles produced in Armenia will also be exported in the future.

Banak.info reports that “Neutron GAM” CJSC has donated USD 170,000 to the Armenian army for procurement of laboratory kits, tests, face masks, equipment for PCR, and other necessary materials.
