Yerevan/Mediamax/. During its first session this year, the Arts Council of Yerevan Municipality approved the proposal on setting up a monument to prominent Armenian philanthropist Alexander Mantashyan next to Arno Babajanian Concert Hall.

As Mediamax was told in the press service of Yerevan Municipality, the Council headed by Mayor Karen Karapetian also discussed the issue of setting up a monument to Garegin Njdeh on the territory of a square of the same name, however the final decision was postponed.

The Mayor instructed Yerevan Chief Architect to raise the issue at the next session after discussing it with a group of experts.
