Yerevan /Mediamax/. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has stated today that although a large number of COVID-19 tests have been done in the last two days, current tendency for increase of the cases is still concerning.

Deputy Minister of Health Anahit Avanesyan has noted: “We have registered an increase of COVID-19 cases. Today, 7% of the test results were positive, which is worrying. We connect this increase with the intensification of social life and commerce and the fact that many people are returning from guest houses.”

She has said that the next two weeks will show how the reopening of schools might be affecting the number of cases.

“Current indicators show us that only adherence to safety rules can restrain the tendency for increase and prevent a drastic rise in the number of cases,” added Anahit Avanesyan.
