Yerevan /Mediamax/. Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan hopes that today’s extension of the state of emergency will be the last one, he said at the extraordinary government meeting.

Pashinyan has added that “the rules will not be as strict this time”.

“Some countries are experiencing the second wave of COVID-19. Some countries that announced officially they overcame the epidemic are now returning to strict restrictions.

As we have went through this hell and lost 800 lives to COVID-19 and 234 lives to other diseases, we will have overcome the epidemic come the fall, regardless of what goes on in the rest of the world. That is the forecast, if we maintain the correct strategy,” said Nikol Pashinyan.

The Prime Minister has also noted that the reopening of educational institutions on September 15 will lead unavoidably to certain increase in the number of new coronavirus cases.
