Yerevan/Mediamax/. Minister of Health of Armenia Arsen Torosyan has stated today that the danger of the coronavirus outbreak intensifying in the fall is present even for the countries that have overcome the first wave of the pandemic.

“All respiratory diseases intensify in the fall, which is why we take into account more than just current needs when we enhance the healthcare system. We are preparing for the fall, although we have some issues now,” Torosyan has told the press.

He has announced that the ministry is negotiating with the European office of the World Health Organization about the visit of special emergency medical teams to Armenia.

“The team will probably be from Poland or Israel, because they have vast experience and they are assisting other countries. There is no final decision yet and the term is not determined either,” said Torosyan. According to him, France will send a team of 10 doctors in the coming days and next week Armenia will welcome doctors from Lithuania and 50 doctors from Russia for several weeks.

Touching on the new registered coronavirus cases, Arsen Torosyan has said that the preventive measures should be implemented consistently and strictly.
