Yerevan /Mediamax/. Health Minister of Armenia Arsen Torosyan has announced at a government session today that Armenia has registered 4 coronavirus cases so far.

“The patients are at “Nork” Infectious Clinical Hospital. Three of them do not have symptoms at the moment, although they did have fever when they applied for medical assistance. As of the moment, only one patient is showing the symptoms of coronavirus, left basal pneumonia. This patient is receiving symptomatic treatment and the other coronavirus patients are not being treated yet,” he said.

Torosyan has added that the Health Ministry is currently identifying and isolating people that came in contact with the 3 patients who arrived from Italy.

“We have quarantined 10 people in the same facility where we have already isolated 31 potential coronavirus patients. Corresponding efforts are being carried out in their apartments, and we consider isolating other inhabitants as well,” said the minister.

According to him, implementation of preventive measures continues nationwide.

Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan has added that there will be one charter flight from Rome to Yerevan on March 15.
