Yerevan/Mediamax/. Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Tigran Avinyan has stated that given current challenges in the region, it is important to assess the risks and threats Armenia’s energy sector might encounter and to determine the ways of neutralizing them.

On January 9, Avinyan held a meeting on this issue, during which he was reported about possible scenarios and corresponding action plans.

“Concluding the meeting, the attendees have underlined that Armenia is ready for any developments in the region and the state is fully capable of securing self-sufficient and independent operation of the energy sector,” the government said in a press statement.
