Yerevan, March 14. /Mediamax/. Armenian Minister of Diaspora Hranush Hakobyan commented on Mediamax’s request today on her meeting with 20-year-old Moscow resident Artur Poghosyan, who presented himself as an “astrophysicist” and the “first Armenian astronaut”.

Hranush Hakobyan noted in an interview to Mediamax that she has to receive everybody that requests a meeting with her. 

The Minister noted that already in a few hours after the meeting with Artur Poghosyan, the Ministry “realized who they were dealing with”. Hranush Hakobyan thanked the students, who “unmasked the young man, who called himself an astrophysicist”. 

Commenting on the press release, spread by the Ministry of Diaspora in response to the wave of criticism, Hranush Hakobyan stated: “I was not in the Ministry at the moment, and the statement contained fragments, which I would have eliminated. I believe that it was necessary to give a milder reaction to that fuss. In any case, it is good that we managed to unmask the young liar. We needed to stop the “Odyssey” of that young man. It seemed to us that he was strange because he was smart, however it turned out wrong. He needs to be cured”, Hranush Hakobyan stated.
