Yerevan /Mediamax/. Prime Minister of Armenia Karen Karapetyan received today Argentinian-Armenian entrepreneur and benefactor Eduardo Eurnekian.

Karen Karapetyan stressed Eduardo Eurnekian’s role as the largest and most successful investor in Armenian economy, and the government’s readiness to carry on their productive cooperation.

The parties also discussed perspectives of new projects, in particular, issues relating to construction of a solar power plant in Armavir marz and a hydroelectric power plant in Meghri, facilitation of development for Zvartnots Airport in Yerevan and Shirak Airport in Gyumri, as well as investment projects for the former building of Armenian Foreign Ministry.

Prime Minister informed that the government was creating the Center of strategic initiatives, which would serve as a platform for realizing joint state-private sector projects.

Karen Karapetyan emphasized that the government was open to discussions on mutually relevant issues, and to forming of a comfortable business environment.

Eduardo Eurnekian noted he would keep implementing investment programs in Armenia, and also stated his readiness to get involved in activity of the Center of strategic initiatives through his representative.
