Corruption risks in Armenian pension system to be ruled out, stated the Minister

Yerevan/Mediamax/. The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs of Armenia continues the works on specifications in the pension lists.

Today, Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Artur Grigoryan said that by the end of the year a joint centralized data base including identified pensioners is due to be formed and according to the Minister, it will rule out corruption risks, Mediamax reports.

 

According to Artur Grigoryan, as of 1 July 2011, the works on pension cases inventory were completed in 42 territorial departments of the state social security service, and due to the specifications AMD 11mln was economized on a monthly basis.

 

As of July 1, there are the data of 6249 pensioners are not specified yet, said the Minister. He also informed that from early 2011, data specification of the families included in the allowance system resulted in depriving about 3000 families of the right of receiving the allowance.

 

Artur Grigoryan said that the allowances paid to disabled military servicemen and families of the late military servicemen were increased at the expense of the sums economized due to data specification.
