Turkey appoints special envoy for normalization of relations with Armenia

Yerevan /Mediamax/. Turkey has appointed former ambassador of that country to the United States Serdar Kilic as its special envoy for the normalization of relations with Armenia.

This was reported by the Turkish foreign minister Mevlut Cavusoglu who is visiting the UAE.

 

He stressed that “the work on the normalization of relations with Armenia is being coordinated with Azerbaijan.”

 

Mediamax reports that Serdar Kilic has been working in the Turkish Foreign Ministry since 1984.

 

In different years he headed the NATO department of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, was the Turkish ambassador to Lebanon, the secretary general of the Turkish National Security Council, the Turkish ambassador to Japan and the United States.
