Yerevan /Mediamax/. Turkey’s Foreign Affairs Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu stated that Turkey is consulting with Azerbaijan on the issue of normalization of relations with Armenia.

“We have discussed the issue with the Azerbaijani minister of foreign affairs during the recent visit of president Erdogan to Fizuli. We are consulting with Azerbaijan in these directions. At the same time we have received positive signals from Armenia. We, in our turn, have stated that we will take response steps to the positive steps taken by Armenia, as to what these steps will be, we are discussing it with Azerbaijan as well,” Interfax-Azerbaijan cited Cavusoglu as saying in an interview to CNN Turk.

He added that Azerbaijan has offered Armenia to sign a peace treaty.

“However, there has not been a positive turn in Armenia yet. But everyone must accept and Armenia already accepts that the steps we are taking will be taken together with Azerbaijan,” Mevlut Cavusoglu said.
