Yerevan /Mediamax/. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has stated he will not allow emergence of any danger for the citizens returning to the lands that came under Azerbaijani control in Karabakh.
“Several days ago I heard that now their allies want to revive and modernize the army of Armenia. For what? Against whom? The war is over. If someone lives with revanchist sentiments, they will see a fist. Let them not test our patience,” he said as quoted by TASS.
At the same time, Aliyev has stressed that Azerbaijan will continue to strengthen its army. “We have signed new contracts and we are buying the most advanced weapons,” he said.
Aliyev has also noted that the military actions raised the issue of improvement in the armed forces. “The ongoing reforms will lead to creation of an even more mobile and efficient army,” he underlined.
