Yerevan/Mediamax/. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan assigned the Head of his Staff Vigen Sargsyan to restart the activity of the Task Force aimed at reforming Electoral Code and procedures after the OSCE/ODIHR final report is published.
On February 27, Serzh Sargsyan invited an enlarged session of the National Security Council with participation of the Armenian government members and heads of the bodies at the government, Yerevan Mayor, Central Bank, chairmen of Control Chamber and Court of Appeal, marzpets, besides the members of the council.
Vigen Sargsyan was instructed to ensure participation of the political forces and civil society in the Task Force if necessary.
Serzh Sargsyan highlighted two achievements - the mostly positive response of the international community and holding of elections without atmosphere of hatred.
“Now it's very important for us not to relax and stop but bolster our achievements with day-to-day active work. The improvement of the election mechanism isn't over with the end of the elections, vice versa, we ought to sum up the proposals and recommendations made by the international observers. We ought to study the materials in press and social networks in detail, and naturally, not only the legislative and executive bodies but also the law enforcement agencies should work to this end”, stressed the Armenian President.
