Yerevan/Mediamax/. Responsible for international relations of Armenian presidential elections Paruyr Hayrikyan Karo Yeghnukyan said today that the candidate "doesn't want the criminal to reach his goal".
"It's obvious for us that criminals' goal was to kill Hayrikyan and new elections would have to be held as a result", said Yeghnukyan.
Speaking about the rise of the candidate's rating as a result of the incident, Karo Yeghnukyan said: "When a presidential candidate in hospital, a negative image is created around him and this kind of rating rise is ruled out in the international practice".
He added that they didn't register any considerable changes in Paruyr Hayrikyan's rating.
